Questions parents ask before calling.
How long does an evaluation take?
Most evaluations are completed in one or two appointments, plus a feedback session. We typically deliver written reports within 2–4 weeks.
What's the difference between a school evaluation and a private one?
School evaluations are conducted by the district, are free, and determine eligibility for services. Private evaluations go deeper — covering diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and documentation for schools or second opinions.
Do you evaluate adults?
Yes. We evaluate adults for ADHD, autism, and learning differences at our Highland location. Turnaround is typically 2–4 weeks.
Do you accept insurance?
We are an out-of-network provider with limited Medicaid (CO Access) openings. We provide monthly superbills you can submit for reimbursement. Many families receive partial reimbursement through their out-of-network mental health benefits.
What school districts do you work with?
We are able to work with any school district in the State of Colorado. Our most common districts are Denver Public Schools (DPS), Jefferson County Public Schools (JeffCo), Aurora Public Schools (APS), Boulder Valley School District (BVSD), and Douglas County School District. We're familiar with each district's eligibility criteria and write reports designed to be useful in IEP and 504 meetings.
Can you do a second opinion on a school evaluation?
Yes. If your district's evaluation didn't capture what you're seeing at home, an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) is a formal process — and one we do regularly.
Where are you located?
We have two Denver locations: Highland (serving LoHi, Berkeley, Sunnyside, and Central Denver) and Centennial (serving South Denver, Littleton, and the Tech Center area).

Our Comprehensive, Personalized Approach
Our evaluation process is designed to deliver a thorough, personalized experience from start to finish. From the initial planning stages to the individualized recommendations, we take a collaborative approach tailored to your unique needs. Read on to learn more about what to expect during each step of the process.
Evaluation Process
Initial Consultation
The free 15-minute consultation is required to ensure that Panorama Psychology is a good fit for your evaluation. If Panorama is a good fit for you, we will assign a clinician and schedule the First Appointment.
First Appointment
During the First Appointment, you and your clinician will discuss background information and formulate a testing plan based on your needs. We will also schedule the testing session(s) and provide you with a final cost estimate for the testing process. Depending on the age of a child, the First Appointment may include parents only or include the parents and the child. Please note that the fee for the First Appointment will be counted toward the final evaluation cost.
Testing Session(s)
Depending on your evaluation plan, testing may take place over one or two half-days. During the testing session(s), you/your child will complete a variety of psychological tests measuring different areas of functioning. In order to get the most accurate results, we ask that you/your child come to the testing session well-rested. We offer breaks when needed throughout testing. If, during testing, your clinician recommends any changes to the evaluation plan, they will discuss this with you along with any expected fee changes.
Feedback Session/Report
During the feedback session, your clinician will review the final Psychological Evaluation Report including any diagnoses and recommendations. We want you to leave this session having a full understanding of the evaluation results, so we make sure to answer all of your questions during this time. We will also discuss if you would like us to send the report to anybody, such as schools or therapists. From start to finish, the full evaluation process takes between 2-4 weeks.
