About Dr. Daniels
Dr. Brian Daniels (he/him/his) is a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience working in mental health settings. He earned a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and an MS in Child Development from Erikson Institute.
Brian brings significant experience in working with teenagers, young adults, and families in crisis. Dr. Daniels has specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Brainspotting. His theoretical orientation is integrative with foundations in psychodynamic, developmental, and humanistic theories. Brian is passionate about working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, family/relational issues, trauma/PTSD, identity exploration, behavioral concerns, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts.
Brian has a warm and compassionate approach and believes it is crucial to collaborate with clients' families in therapy. He has a unique ability to connect with teens and young adults, fostering a sense of trust and understanding that empowers them to fully engage in the therapeutic process and achieve meaningful growth. Dr. Daniels’s professional interests are in the areas of experiential and strengths-based approaches to therapy, subjective experiences and phenomenological research, LGBTQIA+ affirming practice, and trauma-responsive modalities.
Brian is an avid concert goer, enjoys mountain biking, hiking with his dog Ruby, and rooting for Cleveland Guardians, Cleveland Cavs, and the Michigan Wolverines.
